Is it 18 or 21?
Any distinction made between handgun and long-guns (rifle/shotgun)?
For CCW permit?

Legal age?
In Texas? Just have to be big enough to hold the gun.
For some, that comes as early as 18 months, others it takes as long as 21 months. :D

18 for long guns.
21 for hand guns.
Applies to ammo as well. An 18 year old can't by .22 shells if he claims there for a pistol. But he cna if they are for a long gun.:banghead:
I think the intent was at what age could he own (buy) a gun. Not how old to shoot one.

If they are gifted to you, any age. If you want to buy them 18 for long guns and 21 for handguns.
