Open your phone book.

Call the gun stores.

Ask if they offer state-approved for the Handgun Carry Permits, and if so, how much?

Find a good price, call the one you liked, and say you'd like to set an appointment up.

Attend your class.

Get your certificate.

Then ask the instructor how they got certified to teach the class.

It seems to me that most of the handgun instructors are law enforcement officers or retired officers. The NRA's website says that they have a program for instructors that are part of the military or law enforcement. You may send them an email asking how civilians get certified. I know they have a program and theirs is the only one you should get. All valid CCW permits require a handgun safety certificate from a certified NRA instructor.

Then ask the instructor how they got certified to teach the class.

Thanks for the coherent, yet obvious answer.:) I never thought of asking the instructor of my HG carry class.:uhoh: I will go that route first.
