I'm thinking about closing the deal on a "97%+" 50.63 FN preban FAL. The rifle is pretty much flawless except for brass markings next to the ejection port. Here is a pic:

So my question is, given those knicks, and the understanding that the gun is in almost new condition everywhere else, would you consider this gun 97%+?

Oh yeah - brass kisses are just the FAL's way of saying it's a shooter! Looks good!

Every FAL gets brass marks. GO FOR IT. You can always get it refinished, by the great guys at Arizona Response Systems (http://www.arizonaresponsesystems.com), if you want.

My feeling is once you have left 99 or 100 percent, you start getting into some subjective views on the condition of a gun.

In your case, I would not hesitate to grab that rifle-provided the price is right, of course.

Those rear sights are from Holland. Or at least that is the Holland pattern rear sights. AFAIK, Holland is the only country that used that sight variant.
BTWm that is the first time that I have seen Holland sights on a para.

Better than my 50-63 that I sold for US$ 2300 a few years back. Get it.
