I have the Ayoobs edition of Combat Handgunnery and in the very back he shows his bed side gun. A Berretta that has a longer barrel and I think is ported. He talks about how its very accurate and has little recoil. I was wondering if anyone out there has built anything like that and how much that would cost. thanks.

Jarvis lists an extended, ported barrel for the Beretta for $280 ($190+$90 for extended/ported). While "drop-in" is listed as an option, I would imagine you would want to have it fitted. Fitting services are advertised as being $55.

Your English was great, Giolli. Do you own that gun in the photograph? I have never seen one before.

It's not an 93r. I've read Ayoobs writings on it and have considered doing up a pistol the same way for HD but have since let that project fall by the wayside.
It's just a stainless Beretta 92fs with an extended jarvis magnaported barrel and a 20rd magazine loaded with Cor Bon 115grjhp +p and it has a light attachment and other goodies I think. In his writings he explains the reasons for the mods, one beinge the long magazine because most of us sleep in pjs or in the nude or such and have no way to carry extra ammo for a home defense pistol if awakened and forced to go out in the home to assure others in the home are safe.

Thanks.:)

No, the Beretta 93R, as all the full-auto guns, is strictly a military weapon here in Italy.:(
Did the moderators edit my post? Is it against the rules to post images from other sites? If it's so, I apologize.

Ayoob's "space gun" also has a Surefire 633R "Classic" weaponlight.
A good "modern" version to Ayoob's set-up would be a Beretta 92F or G Vertec with night sights, a Surefire X200, either Beretta OEM or Mec Gar 20 round magazines and the same Magna-ported Jarvis barrel as on Ayoob's gun.
Here's my Vertec 92G similiarly set up (minus a ported and extended barrel and with a Pearce +2 floorplate on my Mec Gar 20 round magazine) with my Kahr P45:
