Leatherwood Hi-Lux for my AR

I am considering purchasing a Leatherwood red dot sight for my AR, and found your site during my search for information regarding this product. I cannot afford a pricey Aimpoint, but the leatherwood 30mm hi-lux appears to have the options I want, at a price I can afford. I would appreciate any information or feedback I can get on this, or another product anyone would care to recommend. Thanks.

I know nothing of their red-dot. I did buy a 3-9*40Hunter series about a year ago. In that time it and my Leupold have spent equal billing on: 270Win. 308Win. 264Win Mag. My Leupold failed and is currently being rebuilt at the factory. The Leatherwood is now sitting atop my DPMS AR-15. IF there is a light transmission difference between the two, my eyes can't tell.

I love it!!! In fact I will sell you my Leupold when it comes back, that way I can buy more Leatherwood stuff.
