just got a bunch of ammo on strippers but I can't figure out how to use them. What's the drill?

did you get a spoon?

stick the spoon on the rear of the mag (it only goes one way), then slide the loaded clip into the top of it (again, it will be obvious)

push with your thumbs really hard and fast.

It's a real PITA to get them to work well.

Buy one of these instead, the LULA:

Mag chargers can be bought at gunshows for less than a buck. Put the charger on the back of the mag, as mentioned above, then slide the stripper clip into the charger. Again, as mentioned already, push down hard and fast. If the charger is worn out, the stripper will drop into the mag without stripping the rounds off. If all works well, it will behave like loading strippers into an SKS.

Also, this is when you'll discover why everyone gets so excited over the green anti-tilt followers!!

There are some devices to help load from the stipperclip/spoon setup. But I found it easiest to just yank all the rounds off the clip and use a LULA to load them. Perhaps if i had those magic green followers, it would have worked out better...

Khornet,

Let me know if you need some spoons/chargers to use with your stripper clips.

found five on old strippers I had lying around. The strippers which came with the ammo won't fit into the spoons. What the heck. I don't fancy pulling 500 rounds off the strippers.
