In earlier post I outlined that I have just retured to shooting. I purchased a SW9VE because it looked like it was pretty good quality and the price was below $350 out the door. I have previously fired 100 rds with no problems. Went to the range today and let go another 200 rds. Did a little slow, timed, and rapid fire. I had no FTE's nor FTF's. I was able to stay "in the black" at 60 ft. slow fire. For someone looking for a relatively inexpensive "plinker" I will recommend this product. Two things that would improve this pistol......
1. The trigger pull for the first round takes a lot of travel and requires a hell of a squeeze. Seems like after that it is fairly smooth.
2. The sights are "fixed". It would be nice if they were adjustable.

btw for trigger hit www.smith-wessonforum.com semi auto section post by sharpstick for trigger mod. remove 1 spring to lighten the trigger.

As for your "junk" comment............My research shows that there were problems with their first generation but after they switched to stainless those problems disappeared. I agree that it is not what you might expect from a $600+ pistol...but there are people that cannot afford those. I was only posting my opinion!!!

If you can get on over there I as well as others have posted a ton of stuff. I had some problems with my 40E but overall it's a great gun. The triggerreset is probably the only gripe I have.

Then again, I love my BHP but it too has a lousy reset.

That's a new one on me. I thought one of the primary design features of the Sigma (started with Glock, copied by S&W, also used by Kahr, KelTec) was that each and every shot was exactly the same, relatively light and short trigger pull. Am I missing something?

My Sigma, Glock, Kahr, and KelTec each have the same action for every shot. poppy

Well, each shot is the same, but it's not particularly short or light. For what it's designed for, I don't find the trigger offensive though.

I kinda fell like that first round takes a while as you squeeze. It is probably just my imagination that the remaining rounds feel different. Once ...you...are in the "zone" and focused......that trigger just doesn't seem to affect me. I am sure there is no change between the first and last round. I read, recently, a new pistol should be "dry fired" frequently and that would lessen the pull. I have, because I am old, thought that dry firing any weapon was a no non. My, oh my, how things change thru the years..

The SW9VE was my first autoloader. I liked it and never had any problems with it. The trigger wasn't my favorite but niether is the Glock's. Only sold it because I was in college and broke. Happy shooting.

I actually used mine for the first time this week, putting some 125 rounds thru it. At the end, I walked away thinking "hmmm, it wasn't as bad a trigger as I'd imagined". :D
