Does anyone have info on the Standard Arms Compac .40 S&W pistol? I saw one at a local gunshop for less than $200 today.

Anoyone with firsthand experience care to comment on whether this would be a good bargain or a cheap headache?

Never even heard of one until now. I suggest that if you decide to pick it up, have some advil on stand by.

Not familiar with this but - if .40 cal then IMO it must be an auto.

Will move this to that forum and see if you get more feedback.

A little research tells me this was made by the makers of the Lorcin pistols after they changed the name of the company. I think we will be passing based on this information alone. I don't feel like gambling today.
