Hopefully, this will go through. I already have a CCW but it was very difficult to obtain and I had to go through a lot of process and wait 6 months from the time I filed to receive the permit.

Regards,
Matt

Maybe you will be another domino falling around PRMD . . .

Have to place an ad in the paper that you are applying for a CCW? Holy cow!

But if them were the breaks of a shall-issue system in MD, I would be thrilled . . .

No way would I be telling 5 people I know that I was trying to get a CCW and ask them to vouch for me.

Johnson, pastor of Wilmington’s Joshua Harvest Church, has been on the wrong side of the gun issue. He couldn’t get a concealed-carry permit if he wanted one – nor can he even legally possess a firearm.

In 1978 he stole a handgun, shot a man and served time for manslaughter, and in 2002 he was sentenced to six months of home confinement for illegally possessing a firearm. He knowingly allowed a gun to remain in the guest bedroom of his home after his father left it behind, and that was enough to put him afoul of federal law.

Johnson said he not only opposes the proposed legislation, but favors "any standard that makes it more difficult for even law-abiding citizens" to obtain handguns.Worried about your former associates not making it home at night?

Look at the article and the sidebar info.

Balanced resources to check, the truth that "wild west" statements are bunk, a brief history of Florida's success, the successful rise of shall-issue. Also going into detail about the difficulty and arbitrariness of the current system.

I'd say that's about the best CCW article I've ever read. :D

Don't forget to detail the "wild west reputation" of Vermont and Alaska' no permit gun laws.
