adjustable rear sight to replace Heinie?

Does anybody know of a good adjustable, rear sight that will replace a Heinie without having to do any machining??

Depends on the style Heinie cut you have. Is there a flat milled in front of the dovetail on top of the slide as well as the back or just at the back?

Yes, it is about 3/16"

Don't think you are going to find one then. The Heinie extreme low mount has the same sight cut as the Novack lo mount and the Caspian 4 way adjustable combat sight would work, but with the standard Heinie, I am not familure of a 'drop-in' alternative.

Is your pistol shooting high/low/left/right, or did you just want an adjustable to have one?

Well, it appears there is no such thing.
I guess I'll have to get a shorter, front sight to correct it.
