Presidential Plant Shuttler

Boogeyman tells us that in Jan 71, "Bush uses F-102 to shuttle tropical plants from Florida." If true, and since boogeyman said it, it must be, this would make the man who would become President quite an accomplished and resourceful man. Very rarely does a Fighter Aircraft have much spare space, barely enough for a shaving kit, so shuttling tropical plants - which in order to not contaminate the aircraft - would have to be somwhow encapsulated - really takes aircraft knowledge bordering on genius. But then, of course, no one would exaggerate or prevaricate in their zeal to demonize the President, would they?

Those aren't my words, so don't put them in my mouth. You can find that information yourself by typing "George W. Bush War Record" in your search engine.
While Bush was flying plants around, I was lying in a VA hospital recovering from getting my ass half blown off in Vietnam.
No, wait, he was grounded by then. I take it back.

Boogyman...
Apparanlty, you only have half an a$$ left. That would explain why you're 50% disabled.
Sorry man, just couldn't pass that one up.:)
But now, a fair question, I believe. If you're voting Dem in November to break up the Repub monopoly, would you vote Repub if the Dems held the same power?
edit: I'd meant to post this in the "I Still Have My Guns" thread. Feel free to move. Sorry.

When things got corrupt during the Clinton years, I did vote rebublican in the mid-terms. I supported Clinton, but disliked the monopoly.

Well, obviously your father wasn't a Congressman.

Just remember - whatever you do, do not vote for anyone who even remotely knows George W. Bush, or any other evil republicans. That'll ensure that we'll have a nice sensible person in office, who will then ensure our safety.

With the possible, I mean *possible* exception of Powell, there is absoloutely no one associated with Bush that I can see myself voting for.

I hope I don't sound bitter...

I knew one advanced jet student at NAS Chase Field, Beeville, TX, who loaded seven cases of Coors in the nose of his TF-9J Cougar because we coudn't buy Coors in South Texas. He had a slight problem with forward center of gravity, but he got it in the air and landed it safely.

I would think a tropical plant would be severely frozen unless carried inside the cockpit. Maybe he flew a two seater TF-102 with an empty backseat.

I know its no jet, but I knew a soldier who would fill his ruck completely with beer and ice to go to the field, that was before my time though, someone ruined it for the rest of us

And why is this an issue? Well, i mean, yeah it's a blatant waste of tax dollars, but it's been done forever by military personelle and politicians forever. How many times did we hear of Such and Such Senator/Pres/Govenor/Mayor using the 'jet' to go play golf/see the house/visit family/waste time?

So, Bush did the same thing most any Air Force pilot did (use his plane for personal use) and that makes him evil?

Sheesh. i was really hoping this type of whining would go away after the elections, but guess I was wrong.
