I recently picked up a VZ-52 at a gunshow for $100. It has an awful black crinkle like finish on it but since it was a private sale I went for it. From what I have learned so far, Century Arms apparently applied this finish to many VZ's that went through their company , (though I can't imagine WHY). My question is has anybody tried to remove that crud? I'm actually a real stickler for not altering my mil-surps but if CA applied that finish I have no problem removing it if it's possible. Actually, even if it was applied by the manufacturer I have no problem removing it. Thanks.
