I'm having trouble loading all 10 rds in double stack (Witness) .45 mags. My thumb gets so sore that I usually quit at 8 when I'm out shooting. Does someone make something to fit double stack .45 mags to mash carts. into mag?

Get them loaded up all the way and then leave them for a week or so..They should load easier after that..
There are plastic devices that do help in loading those mags with strong springs just can't remember who sells them..Do know that CZ packs one in with every new pistol..

Had the same trouble with a double-stack 45 mag for a G30 I recently purchased. Read where I should load as many as I could in it, then whack it on a table top to jostle things around a little in there and the last couple rounds should go in.

I tried it, it worked. Then I left them loaded, as bompa suggests.

My CZ (9mm) came with a mag loader....don't know about the .45 but I think I may have a link for some different mag loaders. I'll post the URL whenever I find it.

Some people use one hand to hold the mag, and have the other hand do all of the work.

The way I load mags, I use one hand to hold the mag, with the thumb of that hand helping to push the round into the magazine. The other hand positions the round into the magazine, pushing down a little bit, and pushing back a little bit. The thumb does more of a pushing down, and a little pushing back.

Yeah, loading the mag to capacity and then letting it sit for a while is a good suggestion. Also, you may wanna see if HKS has a mag loader that works w/ your mags.
Good luck

Well I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that has this problem.
Thanks all for the replys. If I find a loader I'll post it here on the autoloaders.

HKS Mag loader!!!

I absolutely love them.... They take all the pain out of loading up full mags, especially at the range.

The HKS452 is for ".45 10RD ADJUSTABLE". It adjusts up and down for different mag lengths. I believe that's the one I have for my USP, although the HKSGL453 is the one specifically for the Glock 21/USP45.

Available at most gun shops, or lots of places online. Less than $10.

yeah i use the HKS for my HK. it's a lot easier to load the double stack 45 with this speedloader. (specially when you have 6 magazines!) pretty cheap too.
