The BEST is to find a big Highpower club near you and see if anyone is doing some Sierra drop shipments. It beats the pants off of dealer price. I usually buy enough for a whole year in one shot. Next up is purchasing seconds from Sierra themselves. They shoot pretty well. After that, www.georgiaprecision.com Midway, and the others are about equal.

Elvis, have you tried Nosler J4 168's? Many shooters like em more than sierra. A bit chaeper, too: about $35 for a box of 250.

No, Dave I havent tried `em, but that sounds like a fair price to me! Steve, do you know of anyone using J4s in comp?

It has been talked about. Not much info on them yet. They are definitely cheaper for .308s.

Checking into it.

Chatter on the HP forums is saying that Nosler has dropped the J4 moniker. The are now called Custom Competition. I know a lot of folks were concerned about jumping a J4 jacket, so maybe Nosler changed the name or got away from the jacket altogether. The chatter is also saying that they shoot really well.

Just a quick look showed Midway pricing at $90.48 for 500 ($81.43 dealer) and the Noslers at $72.98 ($65.68 dealer) for 500.

So, you're gonna spend $30 and get a C&R liscense so you can get dealer pricing, right? ;)
