Hey all,

For idle curiosity I'm looking to throw together a list of which guns are manufactured in which countries.

(Ex: Springfield XD .45 = Croatia)

Please feel free to post where yours was made, or any links to already existing lists- thanks.

***UPDATED***

If you feel adventurous, look in the Wikipedia list and add your gun if it's missing.

Cool, but also which gun models?

Example: Taurus PT-145 = Brazil

(BTW, this list is just for fun, just post if you know or have it handy- not looking to waste folks' time on legwork I'd do myself if I was really intent on researching.)

Most of mine are US made; Browning, FN FortyNine, FNP-9, Colt, Winchester. I have an FAL that came from a kit.

Thanks bru333- being Wikipedia, I guess we should all fill out the gaps in that list ourselves.

with the global manufacturing world we live in, nailing down where all the parts and peices came from and where it was assembled is nearly immpossible.

It would take me too long to figure it out. Once I did a list of every country I've used ammo from and it was quite impressive, Guatemala, Malaysia, Chile, for examples.

For guns I've owned or own ones from every continent except Antartica.

My small humble collection currently consists of

1 Taurus PT111 made in Brazil
1 Mosin Nagant M44 made in Russia
1 Stevens/Savage Model 60 made in the USA

*Had a Mossberg 590 briefly made in the USA*

Plan to get in the future

A few more Mosins, Russian made of course
Springfield GI .45, these are made in Brazil from what I understand
Taurus PT145 and Taurus 905 also made in Brazil
Walther PPK/S I believe most were German made, theres some USA made ones too
Walther p38 or p1, German of course
SKS, I would prefer a Russian but most likely will wind up with a Romanian or Yugoslavian one
German 98k and or a Yugo m48 thats very similar

There might be a few others, but thats what Im hoping to have when its all said and done :)

No preference to country, I just like these particular guns

Most of my guns were manufactured right here in my home state - The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Imagine that! A restrictive, anti-2nd Ammendment state that is (probably?) second only to Connecticut in gun manufacturing.

You know what I find funny. I just bought a Kahr PM9 used at a Mass gun show. The frame specifically states that it's made in Worcester MA. Came as a complete shock to me. They are made in Mass and they are illegal to sell new in Mass. Go figure! That makes absolutely no sense to me.
