I just got home from the gun shop with my new(new to me) FAL, it is a DSA SA58 it does not have a carrying handle, It looks new maybe a little wear but not much, it came with 6 mags, and over 200 hundred rnds for $1300.00 with my discount $1100.00 out the door. Now i have to go out and shoot it *sigh* snort ya right:D

Field strip it and clean it before you do anything else. Remember the gas system is adjustable. 5 is the norm as I recall. Was for a C1A1.
What make of ammo?

I brought home my new DSA FAL Saturday, too. Have not shot it yet. It's three years old but has never been shot. The owners was willing to put it in a notarized letter that it had not been shot since it left the factory, and after field stripping it I believe it. Looks brand new.

One hell of a nice looking rifle.

Sounds fine by me. Just don't dare shoot any Indian surplus through it.

Congratulations on a fine rifle.

Rabbit.

Just a suggestion. Go on the DSA Website and pull up the magazine article published in Soldier of Fortune magazine. Very good procedure for adjusting the gas correctly. I just love my SA 58. I like 1911 Ron's price, too.

Congrats,

Buddy
