Mentioned this rifle briefly yesterday in a post, here it is! Schuetzen rifle, with fast twist stainless barrel inside a barrel. Between this 416 Stainless match barrel and tuned lock, shoots 500 grain bullets, regular, hollow base or paper patch; Jus' fine!
Now this is a stand up on yer legs an shoot like a man rifle, load testing i've been doing is from the bench, thing literally shoots itself with set trigger, guys with scoped moderns look at the targets in disgust, i don't believe them myself and i (Or the gun!) shot them!
Slow pace of fire, wants cleaning every shot and ya spends some time at the range just getting 30-50 rounds off. All day affair, pack a lunch.

Looks a bit chunky around the butt and lock area, almost like a big fish!
Hope you told your handguns that you were only taking one day off!
I didn't go to the range today, we had SNOW and no one would have been there. I spent the day laying carpet tiles so have awarded myself 20 brownie points and said I might go tomorrow.

"Chunkie" Must be that Swiss design, with the palm handle installed it's at the balance point, think if the butt were thinner, would be barrel heavy from hell!
LOTS of pretty ironmongerie on the arm, all color case hardend and ALL needing attention to keep the rust off! Time to order more balistol.
Yep! Know the work at home brownie point system! Sunday here is "Job jar day" and the; honeydo-list. That is, if i want time off for good behavior saturday to shoot! Also buys me time from having dinner with the in-laws!
Snow? My french geography i admit is weak, isn't snow a bit rare where you are?
And yep! handgun on the desk as i type; There there my pretty, that big gun means nothing to me, really!

It SHOULD be, this is the second fall in 4 years! First fall lasted 20 minutes and this lasted all morning. Just not good enough:cuss:

Well Duncan, how about biathalon? :) Think of it! Skiing with that fine Baker rifle, reloading on the fly!
