Ive decided im jumping in the 1911 thing.

I have it narrowed down to the SS and Black-

They all have the same features (loaded) and the price differences are negligable. Are there any benefits to any of these finishes?

Could anyone post some pics of your SA in one of these finishes? Im having a hard time

A. Seeing it without a white background.
B. Seeing any custom work (grips etcetera) that I may do to it later.

The Black SS is hard to find right (for a decent price) now b/c of its popularity. I have no problem finding the SS or park finish for a reasonable price around me. As far as looks, I prefer either the black SS or the regular SS. Park is nice too, but I've always loved SS with good wood for a autoloading handgun and blued with good wood for a long gun. For revolvers I love a nice blued job and good wood. This of course is all asthetics.

All finished will hold up well, but the parked is cheaper to fix and do work on as the SS requires polishing and the black SS requires even more work to get the finish back to original/matching.

Hope this babling helped a little.

PS For the best of both worlds, I really love a 2-tone with good wood.
