I have one of the first production Home Land Security semi-serated folding Tanto knives and need to contact the maker as I have thrown the box it came in away. Apparently the metal clip has broken off where it mounts to the knive with the 2 small hex screws and would like to get a new clip. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanx,
Mike

The boot dagger in the S&W HRT line is good for the money. Nice rubber grip handle.

Sorry guys, but there's nothing in the S&W line right now that I recommend since you can get better quality at the same price. This has been changing for the better and given another year I may change my mind.

Thanx for the info guys. They were polite and will send one out in next Monday's mail, no charge. I still prefer my Cold Steel though for a daily pocket carry. And Puma White hunter pre 1964 for woods carry.
Thanx HSO for the very promp answer to my question. I really appreciate it.

:uhoh: I bought one on a whim at a funshow with the change leftover from a large ammo purchace. I freely admit that I have a penchant for daggers. :uhoh:

Anyway I figured I would give it a try, and all in all, it isn't bad for the $17.00 + tax that I paid for it. I wouldn't give more than $20.00 for one, but as a curiosity it seems OK.

I've brought the edges to razor sharpness and I've used it to cut easy things here and there. So far it has held up. I've yet to test stabbing ability, perhaps I could do a torture test to find out the limits of the piece...
