Winchester vs Remington 357mag Loads

I want a medium carry load for faster follow-up shots. I have been using the Remington Golden Sabre 125gr JHP but am thinking of switching to the Winchester Silvertip 145gr HP as I carry the Silvertip in other cals and like its accuracy. Is the Silvertip also considered a "medium" 357 load? I have never shot any. Thanks.

The 145gr. Silvertip is quite a bitter hotter at 535ft/lbs than the Golden Saber at 400ft/lbs.
Silvertip Specs (http://www.winchester.com/ammunition/store/cfhproductsheet.aspx?symbol=X357SHP&qrystr=Y2FydGxpc3QrQUQwLU16VTNJRTFoWjI1MWJRK0FDVS0zZCtBQ1UtM2QrQUNZLXVzZWxpc3QrQUQwLW5vbmUrQUNZLWJyYW5kbGlzdCtBRDAtbm9uZStBQ1ktYnVsbGV0dHlwZStBRDAtbm9uZQ==)
It's also slightly hotter than a 130gr. Federal Hydrashock.

It's hotter because it's faster and heavier. Don't know if they're using the same powder, but muzzle flash used to be less than most loads. It was my favorite.
Try the Winchester USA brand 110 gr. JHP. It's one of the easiest magnum loads to shoot in my experience. And it'll do fine for self defense too.
