It's a Vietnam Veteran Marine board where I've engaged a couple of guys on the merits of the V-22 OSPREY. I've tried to blend
a. my knowledge
b. Tamara's wit
c. Blackhawk's succinctness
d. the ethics of THR, and
e. some beer. *burp*

You might find it interesting if you like Marines and like/dislike the OSPREY.

Enjoy.
BTW, they could use an injection of THR. :D

Leatherness and I,like many, are super-saturated with war news. But we both have wished several times, that the V-22 was a reality for I MEF. To wit:
Marine LCPL medevac'd from Baghdad to USNS COMFORT. CH-46, three legs, four hours.
V-22 could have launched from the ship, gottem, been back in 1.2 hours.

You want ammo? V-22 could have brought 10,000 pounds of bullets up to Kirkuk in two hours, got some gas (or refueled from Texaco) and gone back to get more.

You got a burned kid where? Osprey inbound--clear the parkin lot.

You get the idea.

Lone GMan:
That's the point: Hawk never says anything! He just drops in and says YES or NO and moves on. Sadly, I don't think Blackhawk has a real life. Of course, this is from me, playing at the computer on a Friday night...
