Yeah, since we lost Wisconsin, did we get at least one out of two?

SB418 was heard in the Federal and State Affairs Committee. This is a limited hurdle that kills idiotic and pork barrel legislation. I presume that this meeting was as dramatic as the one for HB2798 two years ago. I was unable to attend this meeting and have yet to compile the notes submitted by others who have.

The partisan games are disgusting around here. The Republicans are pushing this through because they believe in it. The Democrats and RINOs are putting up very weak fights against it and relying on the assured veto. The Governor only supports CCW by active and retired LEO. Federal Legislation makes that a non-issue, but the Gov holds that it is her position and made a big to-do about it in 2004.

Bill History can be tracked here (http://www.kslegislature.org/legsrv-billtrack/searchBills.do) enter 418 in the search box.
