Ted Turner not paying attention

Ted Turner was interviewed on NPR this morning because his new company has a documentary playing on PBS this week at least partly about weapons of mass destruction. When asked how he felt such weapons could be eradicated he responded, "by moral persuasion.":banghead: I found myself yelling at the radio.
The man must not have read a history book in his life (except possibly some of the revisionist history printed in the last few years.) When has moral persuasion worked on any despot any where at any time? I suspect I'll miss this particular program. Shucks.
To be honest, I'm a bit upset for the few dozen men I know with the USMC in Iraq. To think this could have all been avoided if we'd just organized a good letter writing campaign. Can someone please post an address for Kim Jung Il, Robert Mogabe, and Fidel Castro so we can get them to play nice?:barf:
