What kind of camera did you get?

I got one and I'm going to go take some photos this weekend.

Nice pic.

If you have a scroll wheel mouse, scroll up and down quickly. If your setup is anything like mine, you'll have a hard time stopping (weird animation effect with the cartridges)

It's a Fuji Finepix 5200. It's a 5.1 megapixel with a 10x optical zoom and full manual controls (along with a the auto features). It even has a B&W mode. I'm looking forward to getting creative with it.

Well that sounds like a really nice camera.
I bet you will have lots of fun with it. One of these days I'll learn how to use mine. LOL... Lots of presets but more manual controls that you can shake a stick at. :)

Everybody likes Gun photos around here,,, Keep them coming... :)

You're not kidding. The manual on this one is 138 pages, all English.

Nice camera. I don't really see the point of B&W mode on a digital camera, but hey, I wouldn't complain.

I used to shoot a lot of B&W with my old SLR. Portraits in particluar look nice that way. B&W makes a good shot look great.

But it's digital... there are any number of free image processing programs that will desaturate the image, among other things.

I have the FinePix S5000, which is essentialy the same camera, but one model earlier, and 1 Megapixel lower res. I can't fathom using a camera with only 3x or no optical zoom at all. Once you have a decent real zoom, it's almost impossible to properly frame shots without it.

There's always something better, but it is by far the nicest camera we've owned. When it's finaly obsolete, we'll likely buy another Fuji.

Some are better than others, but my only complaints are things endemic to all digicams to some degree. And, If I knew more about f-stop and basic camera operation, I'd likely do better anyway.

- Slow CCD response. (You can compensate with rapid mode, and pick the best shot, erasing the rest. Something film can't do...)
- Poor low-light performance. (Which is not exactly a cake-walk with film anyway..)

Nice pic.

My camera sucks. If I get any closer than 16" the picture will be blurry.
