I am looking for an AR-15 varmint/match style rifle. Which company produces the best, most affordable varmint/match rifle? I don't need the biggest, longest, baddest AR-15 rifle. Just a nice one for fun range time. Something with a flat top, nice 20 inch barrel, etc....

Which brand/model is best bang for the buck for this type of rifle?

I have a RRA Varmit upper that I am very pleased with. It will shoot realitive inexpensive BHBB 52.gr. MHP and WWB 45 gr. HP sub MOA (100 yds, 5 shot groups) all day long with a sub .5 MOA every once in a while. I have no experience with the other major manufacturers but I would expect you would find similar results.

Take a look at Ar-15.com alot good info on that site.
I have read Bushmaster, Armalite, Rock River, and DPMS make very good varmit rifles for the money. You can also build your own rifle using a complete kit minus the lower receiver. Check out Delton, and J&T Distrubting
