Someone donated a Taurus M85 (earlier model) to a charity that I'm associated with. They were unsure of what to do with it and knowing my interest and hobby they asked me my advice. I suggested they ask some local gun stores what they would give for it, if they'd put it on consignment, etc. But asked that they tell me the store's top dollar and then give me a shot at buying it. Well, long story short, the charity wanted to sell it to me rather than mess with someone they didn't know. So I offered $100 and got it.
It's in excellent condition with none of the bluing worn at all. It has the shorter barrel and original rubber grips with the grooves. Shot it yesterday and it does just great.
Anyway, did I get a deal or what? I'm not much of a revolver guy and am right now trying to sell it for a profit.
