Ok, Admit it, who bought one of these cheap M-3 knock offs. :neener:

I am looking for a weapon light that doesn't break the bank, and is capable of protecting the home. I would like to know how many have bought this light, and what they honestly think of it. And a possible round count if aplicable.

I see some fellers at Glocktalk discussing them, but nothing here but a little discussion.

I've got one. Haven't fired the weapon with it attached though. My problem with it is that no one makes a holster for it. The M-3 holster is too short.

Could you not get a Kydex holster and heat it with a heat gun and re-mold it to fit?

I seriously doubt you will ever find a holster maker that makes one to fit this light, simply because it is a cheap light, and I do not forsee them catching on with the LE community.

As for me, I just won a bid on E-Bay for one of these lights, will post more once I recieve it.

I totally forgot to update this post. Sorry all!

I never received my light from this auction. They said it was returned for some reason and they did refund the money promptly.

I have had one for about eight months and have used/abused the hell out of it. Not once did this light give me any problems. I have fired close to 800 rounds thru my 1911 w/rail with it attached and it worked fine. Why pay two or three times as much for a light when you can get a deal like this?

How durable are these xenon bulbs? I've been leaning toward LEDs, because LEDs don't burn out, but at the prices these go for, I might give one a serious look.

I saw one in a local gun store today, it was well built and about $64. I might look at picking one up later!

To resurrect this thread:

I have a Z5 on my XD9; it's my bedside gun. I replaced the lamp with a SureFire assembly and it's nice bright and reliable. No troubles with it at all except for if I put the light in the XD hard case I have to remember to take the batteries out because the lid presses the switch enough that it can turn on and kill the batteries. Since the gun lives in the nightstand usually that's not a problem. It's only when I travel and put it in the safe that happens; it's not a fault of the light at all.
