Caspian 1911 built for IPSC Limited edition. This one is Caspian through and through. It's .40 S&W Caliber with accu-match bushingless barrel, beavertail, 2 lb trigger, oversized mag well, Bo-Mar rear sight, fiber optic front sight, and every single whistle and bell you can name. black hi cap lower and stainless upper. Includes SIX eighteen round mags. It's had a thousand rounds or so through it with unbelievable accuracy and reliability. I originally paid $2,200 for it. I'll let it go for $1650

The person or company that built it is the most important thing to find out. Also, if they're really wanting to get their asking price for a very expensive handgun, I would think that that would actually list "every bell and whistle" that it comes with instead of being so vague.

Indeed Caspian makes top-of-the-line parts, but if they're not assembled correctly you're not going to receive Caspian quality.

Don't know the builder you're speaking of and a google didn't find anything, but I just passed on an officers size caspian in .45 at $750 at a local pawnshop because I couldn't find the builder. Wish I could have because it sure was pretty... Don't suppose there's any chance of you trying it out or if it comes with a 3 day inspection or anything ? Good luck !
