Federal Cartridge 17 grain, 17 HMR V-MAX

Calibration BB impacted at 592 0.500 feet/second
Calibration BB penetrated 8.9 0.05cm

Bullet impacted at 2474 0.500 feet/second, penetrated to 5.4 0.031", and fragmented throughout the entire wound track, with maximum permanent cavity measured at 2.6 0.031" magnitude and 2.5 0.031" depth.

Very nice testing, I'm suprised it even penetrated that far.

Adequate for varmints, but based on these results would anyone really want to hunt a coyote with this?

Your site doenst work in firefox at all. Is your site checking browser and then not returning anything if it doesnt equal IE 4.0 or something?

Thanks for the heads up on the site. Really, I am not at all surprised by this - I went with catalog.com for the hosting and they have been unresponsive to any questions I have asked them regarding their own website creation program. I will try to get it fixed asap.

The contrast is actually difficult to achieve without the usage of dyes - I could really go in depth on the gelatin testing in this way and others, but I have other obligations.

You can get decent contrast by back-lighting the block.

After owning a rifle in that caliber I decided it wasn't for me, but I have to admit it's an extremely effective rodent/pest cartridge within its range.
