Ruger Quality Control??

Anyone had a problem with Ruger repair quality control.
I sent my Blackhawk to them back in December to get the front site fixed as it was installed crooked at the factory, way off center, so bad that even adjusting the site either way all the way over, I could never get a straight shot on target.
I got the gun back last week, and the new site had been put on worse than the old. Way off to the right. There must be no one there checking quality of repair. At 50.00 per shipping back to the plant, this is getting old, but off it will go again next week. Great looking gun, poor service.

I would call ruger, and ask for a shipping tag! I have had good service from ruger, at first they wanted me to ship it out, and they would refund the shipping if it was their fault, but they ended up sending me the repair ups label. Good luck!

Thanks JD, I will ask for a tag.
Sorry I put this in the wrong forum. Should have gone in revolvers.

I've never had to use Ruger's repair service, so I think it's great!!

Visit the Ruger forum and you will see some folks have to send their guns back several times to get things corrected. I know that's not what you want to hear, but that's what I've seen over there from time to time.

A few Rugers have had problems lately but as far as their service and repair there is none better in my opinion. A lot of problems solved by them just sending a part or parts free of charge. The few calls I've made to them were taken by very polite and knowledgeable people and the problems taken care of soonest!

I've had to send Rugers back, more than any other gun. Sometimes, several times, before it's right.

At any rate, if you ask, they will send you a call tag and pay for shipping.

I agree - at ~$50 shipping, it would have cost me $150 in shipping on one handgun alone, that I had to send to them THREE times for a crooked front sight.

I own two Ruger's and will not own three. Luckly, my Blackhawk is fine. My 22/45 was shipped back to the factory for warranty repair. Took me two follow-up phone calls and seven weeks repair time. It was corrected, but the phone customer service staff need training. I'll keep my two for now, but their are other brands to buy.

I had to send a Mark 2 back. I just brought it to the gunstore I bought it from and they sent it back. I don't know if they paid or were sent a tag.

Why not get some service from them, they could inspect their stock and send back teh guns with crooked sights before their customers wind up with them.
