I used O1 and gave it a black oxide bath, then sealed it.

If the paracord wrap is done right, it will not flex or move/slide up and down the handle. This particular style of wrap becomes increasingly tighter as you progress thru the weave. Regardless, this handle has been sealed, so any chance of it flexing has been removed and it is water/liquid resistant to boot.

I use a two part epoxy by West System. It goes on thin and is readily absorbed by fabric, so it doesn't appear glossy when applied. In fact, it is hard to tell that it has been sealed until you handle it.

Its probably out of my league but what would something like that with a 4.5" to 5" blade set me back?

Another very nice job, Mark! I am not a fan of regular wrapped handles and would prefer solid ones but those are very nicely done and if they'll last then they serve their purpose! :D
