Looking for a light-weight 10 round 1911

Hello everybody,
I would greatly appreciate your advice.
I was fascinated with long-distance accuracy of a Kimber compared to XD and USP. Long-distance (25 yards+) accuracy is on the top of my priority list. But classical Kimber seems a bit heavy and 8 round mag seems a bit small.
Are there any light-weight (less than 38 oz) full size 10-round 1911 clones on the market? Maybe aluminium or poly frames. How do they compare in accuracy against XD, USP, Sig 220 and steel frame 1911s? Which models are the best and which ones should I avoid? Can I find some independent test data on the Web?
Thanks,
Michail

Wilson KZ45. 10 round polymer frame 1911 style auto. 31oz unloaded. Those that have them like them. Can't go wrong buying a Wilson 1911.

That Wilson ain't pretty, but it was also what came to mind when you asked.
The Kimber Ten II isn't any prettier, but it is much the same approach, and might be a bit easier on the wallet. It also comes in a Commander-length slide.

Or, if you can live with the .38 Super, the Colt Lightweight Commander in that caliber will hold 11 if you use 10 round Wilson or Metalform mags.

Any thoughts about their accuracy compared to a steel made 1911?

Since I got it for defense, I've not slow-fired it from a rest for group. My criterion for it is that I can fire it quickly at a relatively near target with a goodly number of hits.
Up to now, my carry guns have been DAO (a Para LDA) or striker DAO (Glock 22). I find that I can shoot quickly much better with this gun: faster with the same hit frequency or just as fast with more hits. This afternoon I hope to shoot some slow paper groups and see.
We buy laundry detergent in big plastic jugs about 12" by 12" by 6" deep, red or orange plastic. I've been practicing double taps on these at 15 paces (the distance is determined by the peculiarities of the place I shoot en route home from work) and getting about 90% hits. I have about 500 rounds of ball 230 gr, 200 and 230 gr JHP, and 185 gr plated truncated cone ammo, commercial and handloads, through this gun. Initially there were two "nose-up" jams with my plated bullet handloads, but I found I had been loading them too long. After laoding up some more at the correct seating depth there have been no failures, and never have been any with commercial ammo.
This is a 28 ounce gun, I think. Very comfy to carry IWB.
