A performance center 629 with the non fluted cylinder?
It's not on the SW website any more and I can't seem to find it on any of the on line gun shops.
Has anyone seen it in an all matte black finish?....someone told me they did but did not remember where.
How much are they going for if anyone knows?......does anybody own one?....how do you like it?.How about the stealth hunter? anyone try one of those?

You may have already been there, but I would go to the Smith&Wesson Forum. They will know.

It could be a M629-5 V-Comp. Made in 1999 for RSR Wholesale Guns distributor. A slab sided 4" 629 with a removable compensator.

Yup, that's the 629 V-Comp, all right.

Apparently they are trying to get rid rid of it; was trying to sell me that one as opposed to the 629 light hunter version I wound up going with.

Beautiful gun, but short barrel; loks like it is set up to easily carry

The page with the specs is still available on the S&W site, if I can find the link I'll post it.
