From what I know right now, the details are thin, my cousins boyfriend or former husband came into the house to see my cousin and pulled a gun. He then shot dead my aunt who came between them, shot my cousin and then turned the gun on himself.

I cant believe that this is happening. Im always hearing about these things happening to other women but now its home. This SOB just killed my aunt and cousin leaving two kids behind.

Man kills wife and mother-in-law then self in Doral

A man shot and killed his wife, his mother-in-law and then turned the gun on himself early this morning, Miami-Dade police said.

Police say the woman had planned to leave him.

The couple's 8-year-old son, who was not harmed, called police to report his parents were dead. Two other unharmed children, ages 2 and 4, also were found at the scene at 4540 NW 107th Ave.

It was just after 1 a.m. when police arrived and saw a gun lying next to the husband, who was in his 40s. The man's wife, also in her 40s, was already dead when police arrived.

The man's mother-in-law was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she later died.

These things make us all stop and think of the meaning of life, and remind us that we are only here for a relatively brief time, and the serious importance of our knowing why.

After the grief and anger fades, please inform us as to whether this murderer had a history of mental disorder, a criminal record, or had acted out violence before towards your cousin. I will presume that such is true, and that this murderer should not have had a firearm in his posession.

If you are able, watch out for the custody of the children, as they will be helpless, and vunerable to being placed in an enviornment that may be detrimental to them. That is probably the most realistic tribute of affection you could give to your cousin and aunt.

That is very sad news. I had a similar situation effect my sisters family about a year ago and it was like it was not real. It is shocking to say the least. All I can say is, you will get through it with time. It is very sad when there are kids involved in somthing like this. I hope they will be looked after and cared for.

The plan now is that following the investigation, the bodies will be flown to NYC to be buried....what can I say? Its hard. What do you do against someone who wants to kill you and take their own life? And I wonder if she (my cousin) had the chance at anytime to see this coming.

I have learned that the police were called out to their home twice before. My uncle warned him once telling him to keep his hands off my cousin, but he was not in Florida when this happened.

There was a history here leading up to this. I only wish somebody thought to arm themselves against this.

I've been in almost the same situation, but it was 6 kids, and no aunt. Also the SOB didn't turn the gun on himself. I know how it feels. Especially if you are very close with them. I know the thoughts that run through the head. If you ever wanna talk, pm me and I will give you my home number.
