Time to send IAI M1 Carbine back?

Field tested my brand new IAI M888 carbine with Sellier& Bellot factory ammo.
Good news: This thing is fun to shoot. Groups were about 4" at 30 yds off hand. Soft like a .22 but can ding a metal plate pretty good like a big boy.
Bad news:
1) Bolt won't lock back on last shot - USGI mags
2) Safety button won't budge.

The bolt of the M1 Carbine is not designed to lock back on an empty mag, at least GI mags.
I would disassemble and thoroughly clean the trigger group. It probably just needs some lube.
Good shooting!!

I didn't know these won't lock back by design. That's good news. Will try to figure out what's wrong with the safety. I'm pretty impressed with this gun so far.
