SC Class III

Instead of a new gun, for my next purchase I'm considering jumping through the hoops and getting a suppressor for my .45. I think I read somewhere earlier that SLED is the best place to get a LEO signature, can anyone in SC verify that? As crooked as Lexington County is, I doubt that I would get the signature there. I can also get my license changed to Richland County (long story) if that is better than Lex.
Thanks guys.

Forget it in Richland County too. My understanding is that Lott is under "orders" not to sign off on ANY firearms related items. I was also told he cannot even approve high cap mags for his leo's personal guns. Go see Mike at Marineau's Gun Works on 12th street in W. Cola. He has the scoop on it. Apparently though, Cola. PD will sign off on the form. Don't know if you can go to SLED, I think it has to be the head of YOUR local PD. My thoughts on the whole situation ? :banghead: :cuss: :fire:

Yeah I know Mike, he's a friend of mine. He's got my STG58 right now and he's going to be bluing a slide for me soon.

Mike is a hell of a good guy. You should see the Garand he reparked for me last month. He has an AR-15 (RRA) lower on order for me right now, but they are something like 5 weeks behind on their orders. Don't want to post the price, but it's a deal that couldn't be beat anywhere!
