Gunny license plates?

I just bought a new car, and am trying to think of gunny license plate combinations for a custom plate.

California uses 7-character (plus one half-space that doesn't count as a character) plates for standard ones, and 6-character ones for veterans plates (which I'm thinking of getting).

Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of "1919A4" for a vet plate, or maybe "MR 3006" -- I happen to have both a 1919 (in .308) and a M1 Garand, so it's appropriate. :D

Sadly, "HEYPETE" is taken. *shakes fist*

CalDOT might not let you have a gun-related license plate.

They have to spot the connection, though, wouldn't they. :D

RKBA is taken, so I got 'CA RKBA'. You have to tell them what it means, so I spelled it out (at length).

I don't think gun issues matter to the DMV. Only sex and religion.

That doesn't fit on a license plate.

But yeah, that's not an option at this juncture. Perhaps in the next year or two, yes, but right now it's not possible.

I understand. It took me seven years to get out of the valley. (Modesto)

Moved to OK, in part because of Kal's gun laws.

Know what I miss? The scenery. I could see both the Coastal Mountain Range and the Sierras from my front yard on a clear day.

The food. There's no comparison. Some idiot on this forum told me that the veges in OK were fresh. Bull. The broccoli is like rubber and you can't find a decent mango. Plus there's no Mexican food. These okies think ground beef is carne asada.

Move to the great Northwest with us here in Oregon/Washington. The scenery can't be beat (I can see Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens from my home) and the food is pretty good too.:)

BTW: What exactely is the rule in San Fran...can you not own a gun period or is a carry ban?

Well, that's what ya get for moving to OK !!! Texas would have been a much better option, IMHO. But....... I'm biased.

How can you tell who is a Native Texan?? They'll tell ya!!

(I'm a Native Texan)

Playboy, obviously you weren't following the politics in December. San Fran banned guns, period. The NRA is suing them as we type. All guns must be turned in by April, I believe.

I am not an advocate of advertising valuables. This includes firearms on vehicles.

It is one thing to see a soccer mom advertise her child's team...
Or a Perfusionist to have RSTUWAV ...

"Forget 911 dial 1911" is really going to look good with an insurance company having to pay for busted up or stolen car. I am sure jurors would take this into consideration as well if matter were to get serious.

Ask a insurance buddy that is a shooter about "paying out" for folks attending various shoots around the country. In San Antonio one year, they just looked for out of state tags, and my insurance buddy had 8 vehicles insured...in attendence and shooting..., none of these had any firearm stickers or plates. One fellow lost $50k worth of guns, besides having to fly home because they ruined his Surburban so bad, he could not safely drive it back. Incidently his was parked outside of a store within sight, and only took about a 30 seconds to get in and gone. Most expensive stuffed animal he ever bought for his kid...
Folks show up and roam, looking for out of state tags at shoots. That is why some did as I did, I show up, leave my vehicle at a trusted friends garage, and use their vehicle/ or ride with them.

Increase in BGs targeting hunters too...hang out , watch, follow and steal.

I would be prone to be more discreet. "Don't" , "6nCYL",( six rds in a revolver) "Lucky7",(seven rds in a 1911), "YIIL" (yes it is loaded), BHP ( that ought to get family, and neighbors to scratch heads), 8WAY25*, 25X8*, DBL8* , 25X4*...

*Skeet shooters.
Skeet shooters shooting low 8 twice means they have run a straight.
Skeet shooters also can do it 25 times in row - eight different ways.
That is why trap shooters hate us...they can only do it 5 ways. :neener:

I have a number of friends that shoot trap, heck even our Moderator Dave here shoots trap. Just part of the fun and ribbing we skeeters and trappers give each other...:D

Not entirely true.

They banned handguns. However, due to the NRA (and others) suit, they announced that regardless of the presence or absence of the ban, they would not be enforcing the law, nor would they be knocking on doors.

It's dangerous, and they have better things to do with their time.

Be that as it may, it's still a blatantly wrong law, and something that should be immediately overturned and the lawmakers who proposed it should be promptly fired and charged with criminal malfeasance and attempting to infringe on Constitutionally-protected rights.

That'd imply I had a Sig, which, unfortunately, I don't.

I do, however, have a Glock 19, Glock 26, M1 Garand, M1919, Bersa Thunder .380, Marlin 336 in 30-30, Rem700 in 30-06, a 10/22, a Kel-Tec SU-16B, and a Mosin 91/30.

I'm sure I have more, I just can't remember them all.

What do you bet, though, that if they pull someone over and records show (the one pulled over) owns a handgun, that they hassle him?

Ok, handguns, then. I watched it while it was happening in utter disgust and contempt for San Francisco. When the NRA filed suit, I was glad. I quickly dumped it off as superfluous BS until the suit was settled. I haven't heard of a court date yet.

I heard they also won't let the USS Iowa be parked there. But that's another arguement. Their anti- military sentiment is sickening.

I agree, SF should fire most of, if not all of their politicians and get some new ones. They would probably have the same ilk in office, though. Sad. Just plain sad.

Personally, I wouldn't put ANY gun related thing on my vehicle. It not only falsely alerts LEOs, but it also alerts criminals. (At least those that might know). Plain jane, blend into the crowd is me.

Absolutely right. Keep your mouth shut. That's my motto. Nobody knows what I've got. Not even the Mrs. No NRA stickers, either. Even my safe's in the closet.

BTW, you have no idea how bad San Fran truly is. The 60s ended and the hippies realized the revolution was over. And they lost. Only they were too stupid to find jobs so they either went into teaching or politics.

San Fran's politicians are ex-hippy socialists trying to turn San Fran into a socialist paradise.

Want a sex change? Fine. If you've worked for the city for a least a year, they'll pay for your sex change.

Homeless and need to take a dump? No problem. Urinate and defecate on the street. It's discrimination, otherwise, don't you see?

Dope addict? Hey, the city gives out $$ every month to the dopers. Keeps them from stealing, don't you see?

Let's get our high roader buddy out of there and then dump that sewer into the ocean.
