I just finished up a mag refinishing project with Brownell's Baking Lacquer on some FAL mags. The mags were from last years sale at Tapco on "slightly rusted mags". I think they were $1.99 each. These have just been sitting in the shop waiting for me to work on them. I traded my FAL so I didn't have the need to work on them until I got my BAR-10 for Christmas.

One of the mags had some light pitting but I left it be and painted over it after brushing out the rust. I am pleased with the look of the mags. I'll post a durability report after some range time. So far though, brownells gets good marks from me.
