I just got an RRA. It has a lube on it that I am not familiar with. Does anyone know what the Factory puts on their rifles when they leave there?
Thanks,
John L

Might be FP-10. FP-10 has a sweet, almost cinnamin smell to it.

I smelled it again, with a mind toward "cinnamon", and yeah, I suppose one could describe it as that.
I have been using break free for a long time, so new stuff intrigues me. who knows. I think if a person used motor oil it would be a lot better than nuthin'.
thanks,

What's funny is now I am in gunstores sniffing the fp-10. Like i am in a candle store with my wife testing out " christmas eve" and " summer moss"
I could be pathetic. I will probably buy some. maybe the fp-10 bottle will get along with the 30 other gun lubes and cleaners I have in my reloading station at home.

FP-10 is great stuff. Much better than CLP and no PTFE.
