Showing off goodies

Haven't had a chance to show these in a while: K40 - a present from runt, knife from Tamand Marko, holster from Tucker Gunleather, flashlight from myself. Holster came in just in time for the warm weather, meaning I can have adequate ventilation AND a bigger than pocket-size weapon. Should have taken photos before wearing it, though...got dust all over.

No point in posting a pic of the holster in use as it is not visible, except for two plastic clips. The gun does NOT fit tightly when the holster is not worn but fits very snugly once put on. Interesting concept, works pretty well. The holster fits my P9 and K40 and, in a pinch, will also fit any 1911 frame.

I'm not a fan of the .40 at all, (or Kydex) but that looks real cool man.

Perhaps when the AWB sunsets, my opinion of the .40 will change ;)

My server seems to go out for a few moments at a time...try re-loading the page to see the pics.

As for .40 and AWB...K40 holds six rounds

Okie dokie...I'll try again later ;)

I've really been contemplating a Kahr pistol as a daily carry gun

That stuff is so tactical, it's purely invisible! Cool!

[El Tejon raising eyebrow with fur ruffled] Hmmm, you have shot that ported thing at night with your carry ammo, right?

Have two buddies that carry this as bug. K40 is solid piece.

nice, Oleg.. do you know if they make a similar holster for the MK40? approximate cost if they do? I'd like to get something better than my DeSantis Stealth, and I'm looking for better options..

Nice pictures, they show more detail than Tucker gunleather's web page.

Tucker Gunleather is on my short list for a holster for my K40 too.

Me too....LOL :D Nice set up....I had a Blued K40 a while ago....
I loved it...great carry piece...I just got tired of feeding it 40 practice rounds....spendy around here.
If you get a Wolff 23# recoil spring get the 5# striker spring at the same time....like a trigger job in a spring swap..works nicely and didnt have a light strike in over 500 rnds.....
Changing the Striker spring takes 3 hands the first 5 times though.....nice setup.....very nice...
Shoot well

I find the CRKT Pointguard pictured a worthy carry companion as well.

We do make "The Answer" holster for the MK9 and MK40. Email for price.
Don't want to post prices here, just info and pics.

I dislike porting because of shooting from retention concerns...but muzzle flash from K40 and runt's Taurus 617 proved negligible, no different from unported guns. Not what I expected but it was so.

*gasp* You mean actual experience conflicted with what you'd read on the errornet? Say it ain't so! ;)

I've been looking for a new carry holster for my K40... and that Tucker rig looks the cat's pajamas.

Oleg- is the inner side of the holster suede?

The inner layer is similar to suede. Whole rig softens with wear. Doesn't need to be stiff to work.
Leather is Hermann Oak highest quality cowhide.

No complaints yet. :)
