I am planning to get a Holosight with the standard reticle. I'll try it on my HK93 and venerable AR15 HBAR and see which rifle 'likes' the sight better.

I keep seeing ads for what appears to be the same product, sometimes as EOtech, other times as Bushnell, and yet other times as Bushnell/EOtech. Are they the same?

Or perhaps is the Bushnell offering the same as the EOtech 500 series, leaving the 510 and 550 series as available from only EOtech?

Thanks -
Alex

EOtech builds the sight for Bushnell. Bushnell has rights to market certain series sights exclusively; but I don't know the particulars of the deal.

Apparently this is one of the reasons the E mods of the 550 series are marked "Military/Law Enforcement".

Does anyone have one of these EOTechs? I have been thinking about one for sometime. I would love to hear about them.

The models Bushnell sell do not have the protective hood that goes over the housing. (Also sometimes known as the rollbar.)

IIRC, the non-rollbarred models run in the 500 model number identification range, the rollbarred the 510 range, the rollbar and nightvision capable the 550 range using EOTech's numbering system. 5X1 = N size batteries, 5X2 = AA size.

Also, 520s are no-rollbar archery. Not sure what the third digit of that number range means. Looking at EOTech's site it doesn't seem to relate to battery size.
