Any ideas? I use a cheap IWB now. It works but not a great thing to have on all day. I have a 640 .38special, the heavy one:D Thanks for any ideas.

I've found that the most comfortable IWB for my S&W 642 is the relatively inexpensive suede leather one from Bianchi. I've tried a whole bunch of expensive, top shelf rigs, but always go back to the Bianchi. It has a strong metal clip, and always stays put. For me, it works well with snug fitting jeans, as well as looser fitting ones. I think the soft, flexible suede is the holsters secret to comfort.

I like the C-TAC kydex holster from Comp-Tac. It can be worn as a regular IWB or one can tuck one's shirt over it for concealment without a jacket. Although it's a litte bit more expensive, I've found it to be the most comfortable of the "tuckable" holsters I've tried:

Haven't tried it but heard positive mention made of it on Tom Gresham's 'Gun Talk' radio show:

I really suggest a holster with a secure belt attachment. I've had really bad luck with the simple "metal clips" used on the holsters often found on store shelves.

Dillons aren't bad for leather rigs at their cost. Sparks, Kramer, and Blade Tech all work well. There are several other quality holster companies out there these days.
