I don't know about you folks but, to be honest, I find carrying a pain, especially in the warmer weather. Usually I wind up toting along just my knife.

Lately I've been contemplating either a Thunderwear or Smart Carry unit.

I am very interested in this type of holster as I wear sweats & shorts when not at work. I purchased a "Body Guard" from Gould & Goodrich (link below) and I feel it would probably work best with smaller semi-auto's as opposed to revolvers or larger handguns. The support for the weapon just isn't there, that's my impression.

Now for the questions:

1. Does anyone use one of these?
2. Which is the better quality rig, Thunderwear or Smart Carry?
3. Aside from this type of holster are there other options?

Thanks and take care,
KG59

Thunderwear and Smartcarry are pretty much the same thing. In fact they have engaged in a "patent war" over the product. I have worn one and have found it serviceable. It is the perfect thing to wear under sweats.

Thank you very much dairycreek.

Looking at their respective websites they look identical.

That's why I was wondering if there's any difference between the two.

Take care,

I've only used Thunderwear--it does the job with the right kind of clothing. Sweats would work very well. Sometimes casual, baggy pants that are loose in the waist will work--but access is decidedly slower.

Surprisingly comfortable too.
