Fox news reports that gun sales in NOLA are though the roof...

At a gun show in the area normaly 15 people wait for the doors to open... this weekend there were more than 150.

They said more than many were first time buyers.

Looks like alot of people learned that you can't count on the police when SHTF.

Heck I've bought three guns since NOLA and I live in Fl. An 870 an AR and a Kimber TLE2 stainless. To be honest seeing the soldiers and cops trying to disarm people was the worst part of the whole thing to me.

I havent bought any more guns, I've been waiting for the new rifles to come out. I did buy another brick of ammo for the AK.

I've bought lots of ammo and have stored a bunch (but not enough) of food. Every week something gets picked up or ordered.

Buy slugs for your 870 have as many slugs as buck slugs are the poor man's fifty cal. they penetrate through anything and they are cheap Walmart sells them 7 $ for a 15 round box.(At least in the free states)

since nola, i've gotten an AR, an 870, a LOT more defensive ammo, a kevlar vest (cheap off ebay too, $90), a tactical web vest that makes it cake to haul around 6 loaded AR mags and 3 G17 mags, plus the G17 itself, and another 10 USGI AR mags. Call me paranoid, but watching fascists in the guise of police disarming people really set off my paranoid meter.
