I'm off to Phoenix next week for a week of training. I'll be the near the airport on north 44th street. I'll have the late afternoon/early evening to check out the local gun stores. So... any recommendations on local shops to check out in that area?

Open up the phone book, there's a whole bunch! Not to mention, if you're here this coming weekend, the Crossroads of the West Gun (http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com/gunsched.htm) Show will be at the state fairgrounds

As for specific guns shops, the only two I frequent are The Pistol Parlour, and Caswells (http://www.caswells.com/).

Caswells has a decent indoor range, but not much of an on-hand selection of firearms. I think they focus on firearms training, such as CWP courses.

Pistol Parlour is small, but has a decent inventory of both firearms & accessories. To be fair, I haven't really been to most gun shops around the valley, but those two would be a good start.

Scottsdale Gun Club is a must see.

You can rent and fire a belt fed machine gun on their indoor range.
They also have the entire line of Gemtech suppressors IN STOCK for you to examine.

I always stop at Dillon Precision and spend money, but they don't have any guns (visible).
