For the longest time I have really liked the look and feel of the Tikka bolt action rifles.

Now, I am looking for a 25-06 and am thinking about the Tikka Whitetail Hunter Stainless Synthetic.

Does anyone have this rifle? What are your thoughts?

May not be the flashiest or prettiest guns around and they aren't likely to muster the adoration of tactical rifle loving friends but the Whitetail Hunter is one of the best values around these days. Extremely accurate, good stock, great trigger. Everything a 700ADL should be and isn't.

I own a Whitetail Hunter in .308 and have no reservations at all in recommending a Tikka product. They are indeed a very well made, high value rifle.

I ended up buying the last Stainless Synthetic Whitetail Hunter in 25-06 that Beretta had in its inventory.

I am super pleased by the quality and feel of the gun. Hopefully it'll quit raining this weekend so I can shoot it.
