My paper had an article that said the Philipines is gearing up for a coup attempt.
I wouldn't recommend posting aby comments about it just curious to see if you are ok.
What caliber for corrupt politicians?

We're fine over here, thanks so much for asking, Kodiaz :)
We eat coups de etat for breakfast down here.
Terrible natural disasters for lunch.
About this "coup"...
What ticks me off is that this State of National Emergency was used
to summarily cancel (not suspend) all carry permits nationwide.
I mean, what the hell--- just when those who HAVE to travel around
are vulnerable to opportunists (bandits, etc)...
:scrutiny:
We live near a coveted TV-station, and a strategic crossroads
(EDSA and Quezon Avenue). In the 1987 coup attempt, a few prop planes
controlled by rebels dropped bombs less than a hundred yards from our
house. Our light fixtures were shaken loose and came crashing down.
In the subsequent shootout, quite a number of our windows were broken.
Some street-children --maybe 9-10 years old-- got shot dead, scavenging
shell casings in the middle of the firefight (that's poverty for you :( )
1987's was a real coup attempt, where dozens were killed, and what we have
(or rather, haven't) right now seems a phenomenal overreaction and a huge
waste of time and taxpayer money.
Stay safe, folks!
:)

Now there's a lesson to be remembered.

The State sure remembers the lesson.
The common people are another matter.
