I know that there are at least 2 people here that own XD45's and they really enjoy them!;)

I've had one for 3+wks. Shoots great, very accurate (sold my SA 1911 Champion, won't need that anymore). It's my new CCW gun of choice. I like the size, almost the same grip size as my XD9, but with 13 + 1 rnds of .45, what's not to like:D Selling for around $460-520.

Ive had one for 3 weeks now but havent shot it yet. That will change Sunday. I paid a little over $500 for mine. It feels great especially with a M6 on it. Its my new nighstand tool!

I've only had 3 range sessions with mine but so far I love it!! Prices seem to be all over the place. I paid $519 for mine and that seems to be middle of the road for what I've seen.

Have a good one,
Dave

Does the XD 45 have the polygonal rifling? What about the chamber? Is it unsupported?

All XD's have conventional rifling, not polygonal. The chamber is FULLY supported, unlike Glock...

I've had mine for 2 weeks now and like as much if not more than my 1911's. Shoots great OoTB, cost ~$520. My wife likes it as well. She thinks it has less felt recoil than my 1911's. I'm still partial to the slabside though:) My only complaint is the supplied holster is worthless. I just got a sweet CTAC from Comp-Tac and really like the rig! :D

Useless is not the correct word to describe the "monster" that comes with the XD series. It is a non-functional POS that belongs in a dunge pile somewhere in the Andes Mountains!!!

Well, I've had mine since the week before Christmas of '05 (lucky me:D ),
and still haven't shot it yet. :uhoh: But, I cleaned it up using Blue Wonder
gun cleaner, and its ready too shoot on Saturday March 4th, as thsi will
be my first opportunity too get to the local PD range.:) My price was
$399 for the XD-45 ACP package, with all the GEAR accessory's NIB.

Had my XD45 for a little over three weeks now. Paid $469.00 for it NIB. Extra mags were $28.00 per. Have about 1000 rounds through it now and, so far, have had no problems at all - NADA! I have a case of "aging eyes" so accuracy is a highly relative thing. However, I can put all 14 rounds into a 9" picnic plate at 25 yards with no trouble. So, if I am threatened by a picnic plate I am really ready. Recommend the XD highly.
