For concealed carry; believe me, I have spent a lot of time researching which concealed gun holster to purchase. I have several different types of holsters, IWB, OWB, shoulder holster and fanny pack. A lot of people will try to get away with a cheep holster and they find out the cheep ones are never quit right. I was looking for a comfortable holster that I could wear for eight to twelve hours and finally settle on a Milt Sparks Veri Max II. Also for most people the 3 to 5 o’clock position to draw from is the best and most natural.

Milt Sparks Vera Max II is one of the highest rated conceal holsters. It took me four month to get one for my glock 23 and I was worth it. Don't buy a half a dozen cheap holster like I did in order to find the right one. Also a good quality holster belt is a must. There is a place in Scio, Oregon that makes belts that are very reasonable and high quality. Had a piece of spring steel put inside the belt and the whole thing cost about $55.00. Best price I found anywhere for a costume made belt.

PS: I suggest you check out rigrate.com for ratings on holsters for a start.

I have a Hume H715M clip-on for my SW99 Compact. This is my favorite holster design. I have one for every gun I might even remotely consider carrying. I don't carry my SW99. Haven't worked with it enough. I got it on a trade in which I managed to dump a gun I didn't like.

I use the Don Hume IWB clip on as well but is is made for a fullsize P99. It works fine though. I spent alot of time trying to find a holster made for the P99 compact and none were available as of a month or so ago. Lots of holster companies offered to custom make one but I would have to send them my pistol. If I remember right there was one place that had a holster for the SW99 compact but that was it! Desantis has a OWB holster for the SW99 and I think thats it specificlly for it. I would just get a full size SW99 holster.

My H715M is made specifically for the SW99 Compact. I bought it from www.gunnersalley.com (it's still listed in the appropriate pulldown menu under the Don Hume holsters). Costs something like $26 plus shipping and it is an excellent quality holster. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I did have a BladeTech Kydex IWB made specifically for this gun. I'm sure I still have somewhere around here. I've just got this thing with Kydex. Paddles are fine, but for some reason, I can't stand Kydex IWBs. Tried it on once then threw it into holster tub #1 (affectionately known as the holster blackhole). One of these days, I may get rid of it.

Also, I've used an IWB clip-on from a local holstermaker that was actually molded for a full size Walther P99 (which I also have). Works just fine with the SW99 Compact.

Dilon used to make a Master for the SW99 compact but it looks like they discontinued it. I have one and love it. THe triggers get really nice as they break in by the way.
