Did anyone else ruin their latest copy of "American Rifleman" by drooling over the article on the "Big 50"? After seeing the lineup of large handgun rounds, .44Mag, .45Casull, ,480Ruger, and .500S&W Mag side by side, all I can say is

"the recoil is no more objectionable than a .44M snubbie" or something to that effect.

Still looks like fun, though.

I would want one if they made it with a 5 inch barrel. Also wish it did not weigh so much. I also wish they had toned it down a bit say a 440 grain bullet at 1200 fps. As it is looks like it would be a nice carbine load in a lever action.
